tvONE™ (www.tvone.com), a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge video and multimedia processing equipment and home of Magenta Research, announces new ARMORED and watertight rugged active optical cables will be showcased at ISE 2020 (Booth 1-M110). The new armored active optical cables feature both DisplayPort 1.2 (MG-AOC-88A) and HDMI 2.0 (MG-AOC-66A) options, from lengths of 10, 30, or 100 meters.
The Magenta Research rugged active optical cable provides a simple yet powerful solution for extending high-resolution video over long distances with watertight ends and an ARMORED core. This plug and play cable is available in HDMI 2.0 supporting up to 4K60 4:4:4 and DisplayPort 1.4 supporting up to 8K60 4:4:4 with no compression nor latency up to 328ft (100m). Crush resistant up to 15,000lbs of force, a tensile strength of 800N and without the need for external power makes this a very flexible option for live events.
“Extending these high-resolution signals at great distances is a challenge,” says Mark Armon, Global Product Manager at tvONE, “but the most annoying part of extending something is when you only have to go 10 meters. Active optical cables offer a simple and cost-effective solution for this problem.”
The new ARMORED and watertight active optical cable expands on the already shipping Magenta Research active optical cable product line, featuring DisplayPort™ 1.4 active optical cables (MG-AOC-88x) and HDMI 2.0 active optical cables (MG-AOC-66x). Both cables are available in UL certified Plenum and provide a simple, robust solution for extending ultra-high resolution over long distances. These plug and play active optical cables are provided in a drum for easy installing and provide video and audio extension with no compression or latency from 10m to 100m (328 ft), without the need for external power.
