TV One Wins “Systems Product of the Year” AV Award for Second Year Running

The C2-6104A from TV One picks up AV award for “Systems Product of the Year”

Erlanger, KY , October 14, 2010—TV One is once again the proud recipient of the AV Award for “Systems Product of the Year” for the second year in a row, this time with their CORIOview C2-6104A 4-Window DVI-U Processor. These prestigious annual awards are judged by an independent panel of experts and are highly respected within the industry.

Steven Mattingly, Managing Director of TV One, was at London’s Radisson Blu Portman Hotel on Friday October 8th to collect the award from top comedian Rufus Hound during the gala dinner. “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of TV One. A lot of hard work from each member of every department goes into the design and production of all of our products and to receive an accolade such as this makes it all very worthwhile.”

The secret to the success of this winning product lies in the internal CORIO®2 scaling and conversion technology designed and developed exclusively by TV One, which is the backbone of the C2-6104A Multiviewer. This low-cost 4-Window Video Processor accepts DVI up to 1920x1200@60Hz and 1080p, as well as RGB, Component and Composite video inputs up to 2048x2048 at virtually any refresh rate and also includes multiple benefits and features for its economical 4,900 MSRP price-tag, ensuring its commercial success.

It has five inputs to place up to four sizeable windows on a single DVI output, with each window powered by a separate CORIO®2 scaling engine, providing full picture-in-picture flexibility. Its arsenal of extra features include premium-quality video scaling, cascading multiple units together to create more windows, colored borders and source labeling for each window, 50 user defined presets for customizable quick control, storage capacity of up to forty still images such as logos and test cards, optional Tally and UMD support, seamless switching and chroma/luma keying.

The core CORIO®2 technology gives it a huge advantage over other video processors available as the integral firmware is not permanently committed to a chip within the unit. Instead it is loaded into a FPGA which can be changed at any time to add input/output resolutions or provide additional features. Access to the FPGA is available via serial interface port meaning new firmware can be freely downloaded from the TV One website and the unit upgraded in a matter of minutes. This means that a model several years old can be upgraded time and again with new features as and when they are developed and released, instead of having to purchase a brand new model.

Mattingly continues, “The CORIO®2 Technology behind the C2-6104A is arguably the best scaling technology available in the industry today. To be recognized for this is fantastic and we are very proud. The product is future-proof and has enjoyed massive popularity and success since its inception.”
